Olivares Rose $11.00
Grown at over 2000 ft in the hot Jumilla region of Spain, these ungrafted vines get densely flavored but still retain some bright acidity. Lovely strawberry, orange peel, raspberrry flavors with a nice clean finish. Great bang for the buck.
Altos Hoya $14.00
Another stunning value from Jumilla, the Altos de la Hoya Monastrell (100% Mourvedre from organic vineyards) possesses a dense purple color as well as a big, sweet bouquet of blueberries, blackberries, and chalky, earthy soil, and a heady, rich, full-bodied finish. It combines elegance with richness despite the fact that this area is known more for the rusticity of its wines than their finesse
Carro Monastrell $14.00
The higher altitudes of Yecla result in a more aromatic, fresher style, making this wine a very easy sipper. Ripe black fruits, plum, licorice, and a hint of pepper. The gentle tannins balanced perfectly by its acidity, this one you've got to try!
This is still Burgundy but on a budget and using a different grape than the norths Pinot Noir. From one of the best, if not the best, Crus of Beaujolais, cola and light berry on the palate mixed in with a little mushroom and spice. A Rock Star at this price.
Wind Gap Soif $26.00
Fresh cherries, rose petals, cinnamon, blackberries and rich creamy fruit fill out both the exuberant aromas and flavors of this wine. Textured and succulent, this irresistibly light and chug-able wine is perfect for any occasion that requires copious amounts of delicious wine.
