Montmartre Rose Sec $12.00
What a sexy little creature! Named after the bohemian community of painters, poets, musicians and dance-hall performers in Paris. No pretense here just fresh and lively cranberry and raspberry on the palate, clean finish and incredible value.
100% Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley, France, this little gem is juicy and very drinkable especially with our brie and chevre cheeses. Hints of herbs and red fruits and purple flowers. Enjoy!!
Tomasella Cabernet Franc $14.00
A delicious Italian take on Cab Franc with earthy flavors of plum and pepper. No oak gets in the way, just lovely pure fruit. An every day drinker that goes with about anything.
Croix de Mouchet $15.00
A beautiful right bank Bordeaux, sure to please. Aromas of red fruits, plums and earthy notes from the terroir, followed by a vanilla and spice from oak aging. Grippy tannins and decent acid, this St. Emilion is sure to please the French wine lover in you.
Plum Creek Palisade Red $15.00
A surprisingly awesome display of how a Colorado wine can be done. This Palisade blend is balanced in all the right places. Fruit, earth, tannin and acid come together in a lovely glass of juice. Goes to show not all Colorado wine is sweet, sweet, sweet!
Durigutti Cabernet Franc $16.00
Say what? Now a Cab Franc from Argentina?? Argentina is taking over! With a dark intense color, hints of baked fruit, violets and vanilla. Nice soft tannins support the ample rich fruit. Argentina has taken another French grape and done it remarkable well!
vigna del lauro $17.00
When Cabernet Franc is brought up, we typically think Loire or Bordeaux. Well, here is a shining example from the northern Italian region of Friuli. Similar to the French, this wine shows delicious, savory earthiness, forest floor and robust red fruits. Lengthy finish and refreshing acidity.
A classic left bank blending of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Great structure and earthiness balanced with loads of dark fruit, Generous concentration and smoothness that is an absolute thrill to drink right now or further down the road. Kermit can pick them!
Jonata Cab Franc El Alma 2011 $128.00
What? A $128 Cab Franc? So what if Parker gave it a 96. Then I tasted this remarkable creature. Soft violets and herbs on the nose wrapped in dark cocoa, tobacco, and some dark currant. Big yet elegant flavors of plum and black cherry. I've never had Cab Franc this muscular yet refined. The alcohol and oak try for a moment to get in the way but with just a few minutes it's all amazing Cab Franc.
