Live Music at 6-9pm Cost-Free

Tim Ostdiek is a playful, uplifting, and engaging singer, songwriter and performer. He writes feel-good, big-hearted folk with a drop of something funky. With hopeful and purposeful songs, Ostdiek doesn't shy from the deep and heavy. A tasteful and dynamic guitarist, Ostdiek often fits fingerpicking, strumming, and lead elements into one song. Whether in a concert hall, club, brewery, or living room, Ostdiek always reaches the hearts of his listeners and sends them out a little brighter than they came in.

His songwriting has garnered accolades such as honorable mention in the Telluride Troubadour and finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. His song “Goodbye” was featured in the PBS show Roadtrip Nation. Ostdiek has opened for some of the nation's best singer/songwriters, such as Sarah Jarosz and Steve Forbert. and played several prominent Colorado venues such as Swallow Hill. Ostdiek is an important figure in the Longmont, CO, music scene, hosting a weekly open mic/jam and a monthly songwriting group. He plays upwards of 150 shows a year.

Originally from Scottsbluff, Nebraska, his love for music was born in a middle school guitar class. “Once I learned two chords I figured I could start making up my own songs,” Ostdiek said. He studied music at Western Nebraska Community College, then communications at the University of Nebraska before moving to Longmont,  where he still lives. The move was brought about by the death of a close friend, a breakup, and the desire to start over and heal. This season in his life became the EP “Temporary Home.” In the fall of 2016 Ostdiek quit his job at a coffee shop and dropped out of his online classes to pursue music full time.

Orchard Wine Cellar Movers and Shakers This Week

  • Bonavita Red

    #1 Bonavita Red

Made from four grapes harvested later than usual to achieve a greater ripeness and smoothness. A deep and inky wine, with ripe plum and blackcurrant aromas. Nice ripe fig and cherry with chocolate and licorice flavors. Just enough oak to give it some backbone.
    (Holding the #1 spot)

  • Sweet Sunset Chocolate Merlot

    #2 Sweet Sunset Chocolate Merlot

First lets say that this is Not ChocoVine. This wine is actually made with eighty five percent Merlot and than has natural chocolate cream added to the mix. This is the wine for anyone looking for sweet red or the chocolate lover at home. Great gift for the holidays. (behind by 6 bottles)

  • Tintero Moscato

    #3 Tintero Moscato

Sori Gramella refers to the one of the only single vineyard Moscatos, and Marco is the only producer to bottle this striking limestone amphitheater commercially. Once the 30 year old vines give up their bounty, and the grapes are harvested and pressed, they are kept in stainless steel at a low temperature to prevent fermentation until an order is received in order to provide the freshest wine possible. (behind by 20 bottles)

  • Carro Monastrell

    #4 Carro Monastrell

The higher altitudes of Yecla result in a more aromatic, fresher style, making this wine a very easy sipper. Ripe black fruits, plum, licorice, and a hint of pepper. The gentle tannins balanced perfectly by its acidity, this one you've got to try! (behind by 7 bottles)

Fun New Arrivals

  • Chateau Deux Rocs

    Chateau Deux Rocs

A rose of lovely character, with fleshy red fruit and floral aromas. Its intense fruit and tannic backbone will make it the perfect match for spicy Mexican or Thai food.

  • Amon Ra

    Amon Ra

The 2014 Amon Ra reflects the tried and true essence of the Glaetzer style - generosity of flavor with finesse of structure. The inky purple color displays the gentle but full extraction. The nose shows an abundance of dark blueberry, vanilla, black cherry and hints of cassis with notes of mixed spice and anise. Although still young and firmly wound, the vibrant blackberry and dried spice flavors integrate well with youthful yet supple tannins with the trademark loooong and sleek finish. Meant to go 10 to 15 years to hit its prime.

  • Three Brooms

    Three Brooms

This single vineyard, certified sustainable sav blanc shows lovely white flower, chili pepper, and gooseberry on the nose with some sandy mineralogy. Very nice weight and balance showing passion fruit, ripe apple flavors. Such a pleasant surprise is the roundness, the acid is lively and energetic but not abrasive.

  • Maimai Syrah

    Maimai Syrah

So pretty. Brings a clear nose of Gimblett Gravels terroir beneath lush soft blue and black fruit with lovely violet and lavender notes. Palate is clean, balanced and very approachable. Just a hint of the Northern Rhone's meatiness but mostly bright fruit and enough acidity to hold it in check. Maybe the best NZ Syrah out there??
