Sparkling wine that predates Champagne by at least 150 years! Light, crisp and fruity, if you like Champagne give this a try for a bargain, you wont regret it.
Only place where Mauzac is used. Still made in SW France by Benedictine monks at St Hilaire Monastery. France’s first sparkling wine. Done Brut (dry). Nice apple, pear and orange flavors with some citrus. Thomas Jefferson loved this wine and always had some in his cellar. Grape: Mauzac > 90%, Chard and Chenin allowed.
