Domaine de Nizas - $13.00

Domaine de Nizas Overall Rating: Value:

A lovely rich blend with nice body as well. Bouquet is intense (Viognier) with aromas of citrus, rosemary honey, white peach and fennel. On the palate it's well-balanced, clean and crisp. The Rousanne sees a touch of oak but its very subtle. A great wine with chicken, white meats or fish, grilled but also great with an herby cream sauce.

History Domaine de Nizas is located in the South of France, on the outskirts of the village of Nizas near Pézenas, in the heart of the historic Languedoc region. The estate was purchased in 1998 by John Goelet, descendent of the distinguished family in Bordeaux. He identified the exceptional terroir of Pézenas as the ideal site to craft high-quality artisanal wines that express the spirit of the Mediterranean.

  • Laya

    #1 Laya

From Castilla-La Mancha in Central Spain, a unique blend made with the Garnacha Tintorera grape. Not only is the skin red, but so is the flesh. This provides a sturdy structure and noticeable tannins. Aged only 4 months in oak, this wine has luscious red and black fruits with hints of spice. Definitely one you should try, especially at this price!

  • Tintero Moscato

    #2 Tintero Moscato

Sori Gramella refers to the one of the only single vineyard Moscatos, and Marco is the only producer to bottle this striking limestone amphitheater commercially. Once the 30 year old vines give up their bounty, and the grapes are harvested and pressed, they are kept in stainless steel at a low temperature to prevent fermentation until an order is received in order to provide the freshest wine possible. #4 Terrapura Carmenere

Lovely soft green pepper nose with mineral and an herbal touch blended with tobacco and flowers. Black fruits and dried figs on the nose combine with soft and juicy tannins and concentrated fresh fruit flavors. Fire up the BBQ and grill some steaks or Portobello mushrooms to eat alongside a glass. It would be great with Mexican food as well with its subtle spice notes. (behind by 1 bottles)
